Bulletin Board - November 2, 2009 – Year 2010 MARx Plan Monthly Schedule Now Available
The MARx Plan Monthly Schedule for 2010 has been updated by CMS to reflect plan data due dates, report release dates, and enrollment certification due dates. A text and color version of the 2010 MARx calendar is available for Plans to review in the Downloads section below. Plans should note: The January 1, 2010 payment will not be paid until January 4, 2010. Please review the addendum in the Downloads section below entitled "Addendum – November 2009 Software Release – ACTION " dated October 13, 2009 regarding additional updates to CMS systems enhancements scheduled for implementation in November 2009. The addendum contains changes regarding the Addition of Contract-Level Frailty Score Factor to the MMR which include MA Coding Differences Adjustment, as applied to risk scores on the MMR, the additional of a Frailty Scores on the MMR and the expansion of the MMR file layout. CMS will be sending the Preliminary Notification of Reassignment File directed to only PDP Sponsors who will lose low-income subsidy (LIS) beneficiaries due to reassignment because their 2010 Part D premium will no longer be at or below the LIS regional low-income benchmark. This notice does not apply to PDP Sponsors losing LIS beneficiaries to reassignment due to termination, nor to MA organizations, Cost plans, PACE organizations, or Part D plans in U.S. Territories. PDP Sponsors may review the memo entitled "Preliminary Reassignment for PDP Sponsors 2010" found in the Downloads section below for specific details regarding the Preliminary Notification of Reassignment file. (October 29, 2009) – The MAPD Production Schedule for 2009 has been updated to reflect changes to November file transmissions. Planned Outages Regularly Scheduled Maintenance - As a reminder, each Sunday night beginning at 6 pm (ET) through Monday morning at 6 am (ET), the Medicare Advantage and Part-D Inquiry System (Common UI) will be unavailable to Plan users for routine scheduled maintenance.
