The Medicaid Buy-In

In Section 201 of TWWIIA governs the provision of health care services to workers with disabilities by establishing a Medicaid state plan buy-In optional eligibility groups. In addition the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 originally provided optional Medicaid eligibility group for working individuals with disabilities. This page provides access to information about those options, CMS-sponsored research, and information about the states with buy-ins. As of September 1, 2007, 39 States currently have a Medicaid Buy-In Program.
