This section provides access to available templates for use in the creation of CMS-prescribed system life cycle deliverables.  The templates are Microsoft Office (i.e., Word or Excel) documents that have a preset format, which are to be used as a starting point for a particular application so that the format is standardized and does not have to be recreated each time it is used.  Each template includes content commonly used in such a document, boilerplate text, and/or instructions to the author to assist in completing and adapting the template for use on a given project.  In accordance with the guidance provided in each template, the documents may be appropriately customized to meet the unique needs of the project, subject to approval by CMS.

The majority of the available CMS templates are provided below as "Downloads." Additional templates are also available from other sections of the CMS Internet web site, which are accessible via the "Related Links Inside CMS" that are identified below.
