CMS formed a Caregiver Workgroup in 1999, composed of caregiver organizations, beneficiary advocacy groups, providers, insurers, employers, and other organizations with an interest in caregiving. This group meets quarterly and discusses how Medicare information can better be communicated to the Medicare population and caregivers who care for the Medicare beneficiaries. This workgroup is instrumental in guiding CMS to develop products for caregivers.
