02/22/2008New Freedom Initiative (NFI) E-mail UpdatesThe Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has changed the system it uses to to send out e-mail updates (listserv messages). You were formerly a member of one of the following lists managed by the Disabled and Elderly health Programs Group: Systems Change Grantees, Medicaid Infrastructure Grant Grantees, Systems Change Grant Conference Attendees, HCBS State Contacts, or State Medicaid Directors. Those lists have been combined under the new sysem into the New Freedom Initiative (NFI) list. We hope that you find our periodic updates useful and informative.

04/18/2008FY 2008 Real Choice Systems Change and Aging and Disability Resource Center/Area Aging Grant RFPCMS has available approximately thirteen million dollars in available funding to continue to support States' efforts to address complex issues in long-term care reform. In addition to approximately eight million dollars in Real Choice Systems Change Grant funding, CMS was also awarded five million dollars for Aging and Disability Resource Center/Area Agencies on Aging grants.
