Drug utilization data is available for covered outpatient drugs paid for by State Medicaid agencies since the start of the Drug Rebate Program. For help in interpreting the data, please refer to the State Drug Utilization Data Specifications. The utilization data you download is raw data in a text file-this allows it to be read by software such as Microsoft EXCEL or ACCESS. If utilization data was not submitted for a particular quarter, or the data submitted appeared erroneous, then some data may not be included on this website. Questions regarding a State's missing utilization data should be directed to that State's technical contact (click the "State Contact Information" link on the left side of this page).
