In an effort to provide better service to Plans, the MAPD Help Desk is now offering Computer Based Training courses. These eLearning modules allow for self-paced instructions and are Section 508 compliant. For additional help and system requirements, please click on the link in the download section. Module 1: Connectivity - Exchanging Data with CMS This course is designed to educate new users on implementing the software needed to exchange data with CMS and obtaining security access to CMS MAPD Systems. After completing this module, the user should have the knowledge to request a User ID and password from CMS; understand the requirements for connectivity with CMS; and test connectivity with CMS. Module 2: Enrollment Transaction Processing This course is designed to train and inform users on the fundamentals of enrollment system processing, and provide guidance and instruction on how to effectively use, interpret, and manage enrollment system report and data file information for Part C and Part D only. After completing this module, the user should have the knowledge to identify the main types of transmitted files used to communicate throughout the enrollment process; recognize the different types of transactions; and identify the main roles in the enrollment process. Module 3: Enrollment System Reports and Data Files This course is designed to train and inform users on the difference between CMS enrollment reports and data files, and to provide guidance and instruction on how to manage data exchanges with CMS effectively. After completing this module, the user should have the knowledge to explain the difference between CMS enrollment reports and data files; identify components of data exchanges after submission and processing; and manage daily, weekly, and monthly transmissions. * Please note: training modules may be launched in streaming media format or downloaded (by ZIP file).
