The MAPD Help Desk provides details about questions frequently asked by incoming callers. These questions and answers relate to the commonly occurring errors, transaction codes and other potential system aberrancies.
The frequently asked questions (FAQs) are now available in the CMS question and answer (Q&A) database. (MAPD Help will no longer post documents in the Downloads section below for FAQs. Any new FAQs will be added in the CMS Q&A database. The document will continue to be sent via email from MAPD Help as well.) Access to the FAQs is available from any CMS web page by clicking the Questions link in the header menu along the top of the page. Please note once you are in the CMS Q&A database you can find MAPDHelp system-related FAQs using a keyword search or scrolling through a specific section as outlined below. You may also perform a keyword search within a specific section, as well, by entering a keyword in the "Enter a Search Term" box. All questions for MAPD Help can be viewed by using MAPD Help in the keyword search.
The MAPD Help FAQs can be found using the section drop down box on the Answer tab by selecting the following sections.
1) From the Section drop down box choose Research, Statistics, Data & Systems
2) Then choose CMS Information Technology
3) Then choose MAPD Systems Help
4) Pick a category or All Subs to see the questions and answers
