• November 17, 2009 - Plan Communications User Guide (version 5.0) Now Available

Please review the memo in the downloads section below entitled "Plan Communications Users Guide (version 5.0)" dated November 17, 2009 regarding the release of updated Plan Communications User Guides by CMS reflecting changes incorporated with the November 2009 software release.

• November 12, 2009 - Notification of State File Processing Suspension

As of Friday, November 13, 2009 at 6:00 PM, CMS will experience a temporary delay in processing of State MMA files. Processing is expected to resume Friday, November 20, 2009 at 6:00 AM. The delay is the result of MARx EOY Payment Extensions. As a result of this delay, beneficiaries who would have been newly deemed for the low-income subsidy deeming and/or auto/facilitated enrolled during this time and that would have appeared on the Sunday, November 15, 2009 TRR will instead be transmitted on the Sunday, November 22, 2009 TRR. However, starting Tuesday November 24, 2009, data will be available in CMS' systems, and plans may use the Integrated User Interface (IUI) or Batch Eligibility Query (BEQ) to access them.

• November 2, 2009 – Year 2010 MARx Plan Monthly Schedule Now Available

The MARx Plan Monthly Schedule for 2010 has been updated by CMS to reflect plan data due dates, report release dates, and enrollment certification due dates. A text and color version of the 2010 MARx calendar is available for Plans to review in the Downloads section below. Plans should note: The January 1, 2010 payment will not be paid until January 4, 2010.

• October 14, 2009 - Advance Announcement of April 2010 Software Release

Please review the memo entitled "Advance Announcement of April 2010 Software Release" from Thomas Hutchinson and Alan Constantian dated Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Downloads section below for preliminary information regarding the 2010 April software release.

• October 13, 2009 - Addendum – November 2009 Software Release – ACTION

Please review the addendum in the Downloads section below entitled "Addendum – November 2009 Software Release – ACTION " dated October 13, 2009 regarding additional updates to CMS systems enhancements scheduled for implementation in November 2009.

The addendum contains changes regarding the Addition of Contract-Level Frailty Score Factor to the MMR which include MA Coding Differences Adjustment, as applied to risk scores on the MMR, the additional of a Frailty Scores on the MMR and the expansion of the MMR file layout.

• As a reminder, each Sunday night beginning at 6 pm (ET) through Monday morning at 6 am (ET), the Medicare Advantage and Part-D Inquiry System (Common UI) will be unavailable to Plan users for routine scheduled maintenance.
