• IRVEN Version 2.3 (08/31/2009) is available for download from the Software page.  The IRVEN Version 2.3 updates the CMG grouper and the ICD-9 code lookup database, which go into effect on October 1, 2009.
• IRF PPS Classification Criteria—Fiscal Intermediaries and Medicare Administrative Contractors (FI/MAC) are reminded to submit compliance review reports to CMS by the 15th day of each month. The FI/MAC will e-mail the reports to: CMSComplianceData@cms.hhs.gov and the CMS Regional Office which oversees the geographic area in which the facility is located, as well as the FI/MAC's Consortium Contractor Management Officer. Refer to the IRF Classification Criteria web page for additional information.
• IRF PAI Data Specifications (version 1.01A revision 5)--in effect on October 1, 2009 is available for download from the Software web page.
• FY 2010 IRF PPS Final Rule for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities PPS (CMS 1538-F) is available for download from the List of IRF Federal Regulations web page. - The provisions of the final rule generally take effect October 1, 2009, except for the new coverage criteria which are effective for discharges occurring on or after January 1, 2010. CMS will conduct education and outreach on the new coverage criteria prior to the effective date.
• Revisions to Section 110 of the Medicare Benefit Policy Manual (MBPM) – A draft of the revised manual is currently being updated and is not yet available.
