The Medicare HETS User Interface (UI) Eligibility system is intended to allow release of eligibility data to Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) providers for the purpose of preparing an accurate Medicare claim, determining beneficiary liability or determining eligibility for specific services. The system provides access to Medicare beneficiary eligibility data in a real-time environment. In this environment, the user is able to submit eligibility request by supplying beneficiary identifiable information and receiving a real-time response online. This is a pilot program with registration restricted to those organizations that are pre-approved. The Downloads section below, lists IACS User Guides applicable to HETS UI. These guides provide users with information and instructions to register in IACS and request access to CMS application(s) available to you. The guides are provided in accessible versions according to the 1998 Amendment to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The IACS Main Body User Guide can be found under the "General User Guides and Resources" section of the IACS Web site.
