CMS' National Provider Identifier (NPI) Contingency Plan ended on May 23, 2008.  CMS reminds all HETS 270/271 Submitters that all HETS 270 requests must now contain an NPI number and an NPI number only.  270 requests that do not comply with this requirement will result in an error.
