TrailBlazer Health Enterprises, LLC has been selected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to develop a mechanism specifically for reimbursing NDMS acute inpatient care, including the separately billable professional services of physicians and other medical practitioners who treated NDMS-placed patients during the course of their inpatient stay. These payments are related solely to NDMS-coordinated evacuees who were admitted and treated as NDMS inpatients.
