This page contains information about the eRx measure, including its specifications and related release notes for individual EPs to use to report the eRx measure through claims (or beginning with the 2010 eRx Incentive Program, registry-based reporting). Note: The eRx measure specifications for the current program year may be different from the eRx measure specifications for a prior year. EPs are responsible for ensuring that they are using the eRx measure specification documents for the correct program year. 2010 eRx Incentive Program 2010 eRx Measure Specifications and Release Notes. This zip file, which is found in the "Downloads" section below contains two documents which are the authoritative documents that (1) describe the 2010 eRx measure specifications for claims or registry-based reporting and (2) changes from the 2009 eRx measure specifications in the form of release notes. The measure specifications also provide the definition of a "qualified eRx system." Claims-Based Reporting Principles for the 2010 eRx Incentive Program. Guidance about how to report the eRx measure on claims for the 2010 eRx Incentive Program can be found under the "Downloads" section below. 2010 eRx EHR Measure Specifications The measure specifications and other related documents for the submission of the 2010 eRx measure via a qualified an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system are available on the "Alternative Reporting Mechanisms" link at left. 2009 eRx Incentive Program 2009 eRx Measure Specifications. The specifications for reporting the measure that will be used to determine if an EP is a successful electronic prescriber and qualify for a 2% incentive payment for 2009 can be found in the "Downloads" section below.
