Medicaid Integrity Program Report to Congress

Under the provisions of the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005, Congress directed CMS to establish the Medicaid Integrity Program (MIP).  In doing so, it dramatically increased the resources available to CMS to combat fraud, waste and abuse in the Medicaid program.  

CMS is required to report to Congress annually on the use and effectiveness of the funds appropriated for the MIP. (To view these documents, see the links in the Downloads section below.)
